...and holy crap, I love Naomi/Emily! *__* I will admit that I skipped seasons one and two and went straight to the second generation strictly because I heard such great things about Naomi/Emily. Hell, they're the reason that I decided to watch it in the first place. I seriously haven't been disappointed with them--or the rest of the characters, actually, though I readily admit to loving Naomi and Emily most. JJ takes second place to them in my heart, though. I love that guy; he's awkward and cute and, unfortunately, can't always control what he says, and it makes me feel so bad for him.
So far my favorite episode of the season has been 3x06 "Naomi." I'm half way through "Katie and Emily." I'm writing this because I'm watching the episodes on megavideo which has a time limit per session, and I've already watched my 72 minute session which means I need to wait an hour before being able to watch more. Thankfully, I only need to wait another ten minutes.
My only complaint is in wondering why EVERYONE is cheating on someone at some point, and why EVERY time two characters kiss, it leads to sex. What ever happened to just a peck on the lips or a little bit of making out? It seems like everytime there's a kiss, there's a sudden scramble for the characters to remove their clothes half a second later. O.o
Other than that, it's a pretty good show, and I really like it. Does anyone know if this show is broadcast in the US or if I'll have to wait until new episodes make it online for me to be able to watch them?
EDIT: Damn it! It's on BBC America! I don't get that channel! D8 Fuck, I guess I'll have to wait until the episodes come online to watch them, then. Does anyone know how long that usually takes? :<

Date: 2010-02-08 02:00 am (UTC)From:I also love JJ! Lately though, Naomily has been getting on my nerves. Actually, it's probably the stans. They keep whining that there's not enough Naomily and that the show should just let them live happily forevarrr. Hmm, great. :\ It'd be nice if they could focus on the other relationships too, like that unfortunate love triangle that is Freddie/Effy/Cook. Effy is absolutely amazing in series 1 and 2, so I'm sad you skipped those. She's an absolute h0r in the new series. Buuut, after the second episode of series 4, I liked Naomily again. Then the episode's shit ending ruined it for me. Ugh. Really, the second generation is still not warming up to me. I don't love them to death as much as I love the first gen.

And the only reason they're complaining that there isn't enough Naomily is because there isn't. :P Nah, personally, I'm not really all that interested in Freddie/Effy/Cook love triangle, though I'm kinda hoping that she eventually ends up with Cook because I'm starting to like him and want him to be happy.
I agree, I hated that Naomi cheated on Emily. :< The worst part is that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense either so I'm hoping her reasons behind doing that will be explained at some point. I'm also curious what happened after Emily went inside the house, and whether she took Naomi back or not. (I'm guessing not since there is a preview clip of her kissing Cook--nothing serious, but I doubt Naomi would do that if Emily gave her a second chance, and if she did, she'd be well on her way to proving that she's too stupid to live.)

Date: 2010-02-09 07:51 am (UTC)From:Anyway, it seems from my first comment that I come off as a fan of the Freddie/Effy/Cook love triangle. NOT. AT. ALL. What I meant was, the writers have done a nice job with Naomily and I wish they could sort out that shitty love triangle with the same amount of effort. They're making me really, really hate Effy and just when I wanted to give a Freddie a second chance...but he became a douche again. And basically just want those two to die in a fire, especially Freddie, because, apparently, he values his own dick more than his friendship with Cook. GODDAMN SKANKS, FREDDIE AND EFFY ARE. Right. *breathes*
It seems like the whole show's in love with Naomily and that annoys the hell out of me. Aside from all the shipping, I want to see the friendships develop and the characters grow. If you'll get to watching series 1 and 2, you'll get what I mean. Sometimes, I just don't feel the bond among the second gen, since they only just got to know each other. That's why I value all those rare moments when unlikely characters get to share a scene. Like Emily with Cook recently.
Oh, and I can see why Naomi cheated on Emily. She appears to be this smart, confident, strong and independent girl, but really, she's just weak, scared and often narrow-minded. When she cheated on Emily, it was a moment of weakness. Probably because she's still unsure about herself and her relationship with Emily. And Naomi's probably going to go through all of that again in the next episode, but with Cook. Since, I'm guessing, she and Emily aren't going to be okay just yet. Heh. Dammit, now I'm starting to hate Naomi. Eh, whatever. Those darn kids...
